Six unfailing cosmetics
For the lips - Truth
For the voice - Prayer
For the eyes - Pity
For the hands - Charity
For the figure - Uprightness
For the heart - Love
I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again

Saint
A Saint is one whose life is imbued with a deep love of the Christian religion as a way of feeling at home in the universe. He lives with a radiance because his spirit is rooted in God's spirit. A saint is one who has quit worrying about himself, because his life is centered in God. Though his hand and head are at labor yet his heart dwells in God. He starts each day with these words. May the image of Christ radiate through me this day in each life situation.
I Hope You Dance by Mark Sanders
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single truth for granted
God forbid ever to leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single truth for granted
God forbid ever to leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

What Will Matter by Michael Josephson
Ready or not, someday it will all come to an end
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to
some one else
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear
So to you, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to do lists will expire
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away
It won't matter where you came from or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end
it won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant
So what will matter
how will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got but what you gave
What will matter is not your success but how hard you tried
What will matter is not what you learned but what you taught
what will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example
what will matter is not your competence but your character
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone
What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident
It's not a matter of chance but of choice
Choose to live a life that matters
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to

Worth
After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand
And claiming a soul
that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't mean security
and you begin to learn
that kisses aren't compromises
and presents aren't promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of a woman or man
not the grief of a child
and you learn to build all our loads on today
because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling in mid flight
after a while you learn
that even sunshine burns when you ask too much
so plant your garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone to buy you flowers
and you learn
that you can really endure
that you are really strong
and you really do have worth and you learn
Between holding a hand
And claiming a soul

Friendship
Sacrifice is greater than love
Character is greater than beauty
Humanity is greater than wealth
But nothing is greater than friendship.
Character is greater than beauty
Humanity is greater than wealth
But nothing is greater than friendship.
Clock of life
The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
to tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour
Now is the only times you own
Live love toil with a will
Place no faith in time
For the clock may soon be still.
And no man has the power
to tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour
Now is the only times you own
Live love toil with a will
Place no faith in time
For the clock may soon be still.
Untitled
I love the dark hours of my being
My mind deepens into them
There I can find as in old letters
The days of my life already lived and held like a legend and understood
Then the knowing comes I am open
To another life that's wide and timeless
So I am sometimes like a true rustling over a gravesite
and making real the ream or the one its living roots embrace
A dream once lost
among the sorrows of songs

SAVE THE PLANET (Earth Charter)
We have forgotten who we are
We have lost our sense of wonder and connectedness
We have degraded the earth and our fellow creature
And we have nowhere else to go
If we lose the sweetness of the waters
We lose life of the land
If we lose the life of the land
We lose the majesty of the forest
We lost purity of the air
If we lose purity of the air
We lose the creatures of the earth
Not just for ourselves
But for our children
Both now and in the future.

The Power of Silence
The more we practice letting the mind be quiet the more we developed the power to still the mind when it is time to make any decision. We should have an "alone time", a time for ourself to reflect and recharge our mind.
Silence is a state of mind quite removed from the mere absence of noise. A still mind is wise and free. Free from worry, speculation, regret, past hurts... the whole list that makes one feel weak and old. We need to create a quiet space within ourselves. We need to silence ourselves so that we can hear what that inner voice is telling us. It is important to listen to the inner voice so that we can make sound decision and judgement.

Quotes
Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.
Albert Einstein
Our lives are like a candle in the wind.
Carl Sandburg
You don't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when You can only decide how you're going to live. Now.

Successful Man
The man is a success who has lived well
laughed often and loved much
who has gained the respect of intelligent men and love of children
who has filled his niche and accomplished his task
who leaves the world better than he found it
whether by an improved poppy
a perfect poem or a rescued soul
who never lacked appreciation or earth's beauty
or failed to express it
who looked for the best in others and
gave the best he had.

Real Man
if a man is honest with others and with himself
if he received gratefully and give quietly
if he is gentle enough to feel and strong enough to show his feelings
if he is slow to see the faults of others
but quick to discover their goodness
if he is cheerful in difficult times and modest in success
if he does his best to be true to his beliefs
then he is truly an admirable man

The Savior Speaks
Did you pause today
In the midst of your day
And remembered that I always have time for you
Busy schedules to keep
Demands and expectations
Pressures from within and without
Thoughts and dreams no one else know about
I see them all
And how you perform doesn't change
One bit what I think of you
I love you as My Father loves perfectly
And I invite you to come often during the day
To rest and hide in me
Draw fresh courage
Reach down in honesty
And bare your doubts and questions
Tell me your joys and discoveries
or simply lie quiet before Me
Let's enjoy each other's company
Come often , I will wait for you.

You Want to be a Volunteer
1. Be Dependable. Be on time. Do what you say you'll do and do your best. A lot of people will be relying on you and you don't want to let them down.
2. Be Well Trained. Know what you are doing. You need to learn what you are getting into. If you need training or guidance to show you how or what you are supposed to do, don't hesitate to speak up.
3. Be Enthusiastic. Always have a positive attitude. Don't moan or groan your way through your volunteer work. You should love what you are doing, if you don't like doing it then do something else.
4. Be Cooperative. Don't try to do everything yourself. Work as part of a team to make sure everyone gets a chance to participate and do his or her fair share of work. If someone asks for help, lend a hand. If you need help ask for it politely.
5. Be understanding. Try to see things through other people's eyes. Try your best to understand what other people are going through, even if it's something you have never dealth with yourself before.
6. Be Friendly. Treat others like friends and they'll do the same. Many people who volunteer meet new people with whom they want to stay friends and you might just meet someone.
7. Be open minded. One of the really great things about being a volunteer is the chance to learn and experience new things. Keep your mind open to new possibilities, and you'll probably grow as a person.
8. Be Humble. Don't brag or go around telling everyone about all the good things you've supposedly done just to get making a some attention or feel superior. just be happy knowing that you're making a difference and you have helped someone in need.

Five things to do in Singapore
1. Experience the Singapore Flyer. This is the world's largest observatory wheel so if you want to take a glimpse of the entire Singapore skyline you shouldn't miss the ride.
2. Relax at Kenko Fish Spa. Have you ever tried Dr. Fish nibbling your dead skin and callouses? Sounds ticklish but if you're up to it then you should try Kenko Reflexology and Fish Spa. They employ these tiny fish species (Garra Rufa from Eastern Europe) to naturally exfoliate your dead skin and promote blood circulation. All you have to do is soak your feet on the water and let the little masseurs do the job.
3. Eat Hainanese chicken rice at Wee Nam Kee. They serve the best Hainanese chicken rice.
4. Dine at hawker centers. Eating in Singapore restaurants three times a day is expensive that's why I recommend to friends to go to the hawker centers instead. They are all over the city, and if you worry about quality and clean food, the hawker centers are safe and clean. You just have to be prepared to dine at non airconditioned place.
5. Shop the tiangge way at Toa Payoh. A lot of people don't know that there's a suburb in Singapore where you get to buy Singpore clothing and apparel brands at bargain prices less than ten minutes away from Orchard by MRT.
